Andy and I just returned from Quebec after a week-long trip.  We started in Quebec City, where we enjoyed Old World charm and the opulence of Chateau Frontenac in the Old City.  We then headed to the Gaspe Peninsula, five hours east along the shore of the saline St. Lawrence River. We spent two nights in a charming bungalow at Auberge Sea Shack, and climbed Mt. Albert, to the expansive tundra plateau where caribou roam.  We then headed into the backcountry to the Roseline Hut.  From there we climbed Mt. Xalibu to the rocky summit overlooking Lac au Americans.  After two hut nights under starry skies it was back to the Old City for one night of fondue, live music and relaxation before heading home.  Another wonderful father-son trip on the books.
