Freshly back from a wonderful trip to the Out Islands of The Bahamas. I angled Andros’ South Island. With tidal creeks thick with bonefish to allow long fishing days in high wind, Andros is the best bet for many, and big, bones in this hemisphere. A remote island that had no electricity until 1987, it’s place rich with local flavor. Bair’s Lodge housed me and provided astute guides, cracked conch for dinner and just about everything you’d need to reset your mind. It’s a special place full of small worlds, great company and hospitality that is purely Bahamian.
