Our family just returned from Staniel Cay in the Exumas. We spent the week exploring the island chain on golf carts, boats and on foot. It’s a magical place where most of the 365 islands are uninhabited by humans. Rather there are pods of nurse sharks, wild boars and large Rock Iguanas to visit. A camera mishap made shooting the hollow cave dive to Thunderball Grotto impossible, but we saw it. And snorkled over a crashed drug-running plane from the 80’s that belonged to Pablo Escobar. Despite an adventure with a stubborn boat rental for a couple of hours it was a great trip with a great family. Thanks to Darcie for spotting it in more ways that one.
